Dear Friend,

Welcome to Sinai! Our congregation is a warm, vibrant and diverse community, filled with respect and love for Jewish tradition. Together, we sustain the values of meaningful Jewish living, in particular, the synagogue as a house of Prayer, Study and Assembly.

Appreciating the human need for connection to each other and to God, our worship services provide an intimate, contemplative and spiritual place for prayer. Enhanced by music and congregational participation, our services for Shabbat and the Festivals are joyous.

Understanding Jewish education to be a lifelong enterprise, we offer toddlers, children, young people and adults of all ages opportunities to engage in the study of Torah and the essentials of Jewish learning: our people’s history, ethics and values; its traditions, holidays and ceremonies; its art, music and literature.

Recognizing the centrality of human relationships, we sponsor a variety of groups for people of different ages and interests within our community. These groups provide a sense of community, even as they enable congregants to reach out to the world through acts of social justice and community service.

Above all, Sinai is a welcoming community that feels like an “extended family.” That inclusive spirit brought me to Sinai; perhaps you too will make Sinai your spiritual home.

I look forward to welcoming you to our congregational family. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me with any questions or to set up a time to talk.

L’Shalom u’veracha – in peace and blessing,

Rabbi David B. Cohen
